Fan-like aggregates and radial groups of flattened Hemimorphite crystals with excellent terminations. They are very well defined, separate, transparent, and bright, and are on a limonite matrix with small, intensely yellow bow-tie Mimetite groups.

Ojuela is an epithermal polymetallic deposit hosted in Mesozoic limestones of the Aurora Group, associated with low-sulfidation hydrothermal systems with silver, lead, zinc, and secondary arsenate mineralization. The mine is world-famous for the exceptional diversity and quality of its secondary species, and it is the type locality for numerous mineral species.
